Mrs. Fisher loves working at St. Francis of Assisi School! The small, country school is a perfect fit for Mrs. Fisher. She grew up on a small farm in the Helvetia area with her older sister, many pets, and extended family always around.
She completed her undergraduate studies at Western Oregon University, majoring in Early Childhood/Elementary Education with the focus areas of Health and Geography. After graduation, she completed the English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Endorsement classes. By spring 2011, Mrs. Fisher graduated with her Master of Science in Education degree and a Reading Endorsement. After graduation, she was hired as a teacher at St. Francis of Assisi. For most of the 9 years after being hired, she was the full-time 1st/2nd-grade classroom teacher and for the rest of the time, she was a part-time co-teacher for 1st/2nd grade. Currently, Mrs. Fisher is an instructional assistant with 1st/2nd grade.
Mrs. Fisher and her husband have two sons, Lucas and Andrew. As a family we love being active outside, spending time with family or friends, and relaxing at home with just the 4 of us.
