Lane Meeuwsen graduated from Western Oregon University in June of 2020. At Western Oregon he received a Bachelor's Degree with a major in education. His education focus area is in middle/high school social studies. Lane is teaching many subjects including his college focus area of social studies to both 5th and 6th grade. He also teaches subjects including math, reading, art, and science. He is thrilled to be teaching at St. Francis of Assisi School, and is enjoying the opportunity to be with amazing staff members, students, families, and community members!
Lane lives in the countryside outside of Banks, and is happy to be a part of such a small, tight-knit, and caring community. He regularly attends Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Roy, as well as Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Verboort. He has been a member of these two parishes his entire life and is excited to implement his catholic knowledge into his curriculum. He is also looking to build a foundation of strong work ethic, excitement to learn, and good citizenship with his students. Lane also enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, playing basketball, and learning about history.
